Nathan Noel of St. John’s scored his first career American Hockey League goal Sunday, and it was the game-winner as the Rockford IceHogs slipped past the San Antonio Rampage 4-3 in Rockford, Ill.

Noel, 20, was named the game’s first star. He was the Chicago Blackhawks’ fourth-round draft pick, 113th overall, in the 2016 NHL Entry Draft.

Noel has been plagued with injuries so far in his rookie season. He suffered a knee injury in training camp, followed by another injury when he was assigned to the AHL’s IceHogs.
