Are you curious about what the Team Gushue highway will look like in 2018? Well Telegram photographer Keith Gosse was, so he took a drone to the area to give everyone an aerial look at the section between Kenmount Road and Topsail Road that is slated to open this coming summer. A spokesman for the provincial Transport and Works department told the Telegram that a lot of progress has been made this year including the installation of storm sewers, electrical work and foundations for light poles (it will be lit apparently), a pedestrian underpass near the Topsail Square interchange, waterproofing and paving of overpasses at the Captain Whelan Drive and Old Pennywell Road crossings and berms near Topsail Road and Blackmarsh Road. Work is also continuing on the Topsail Road overpass that will eventually carry traffic to the Pitts Memorial drive area in Mount Pearl.
