Pop-rock band Hedley to play Mile One Centre
The Telegram
It was announced today that pop-rock band Hedley will perform at Mile One Centre in St. John’s April 20, 2010, at 6:30 p.m.
The performance will be part of the Vancouver-based group’s cross-Canada tour that will kick off in Penticton, B.C., March 22.
Special guests will be Faber Drive, Stereos and Fefe Dobson.
Tickets for the event go on sale Saturday, Nov. 21, at noon. Tickets cost $42.50 (plus service charge) and are available at Mile One Centre box office. Charge by phone: (709) 576-7657 or 1-800-361-4595. Order online at: www.admission.com.
Hedley also announced the release of the band’s third studio album, “The Show Must Go” (Universal Music Canada) Tuesday featuring the hit singles Cha-Ching and Don’t Talk to Strangers.
“Staying current has always been very important to us and growing with our fans as well,” says Hedley front man Jacob Hoggard. “We don’t want to alienate people with left-turns in our music, but we also don’t want to stagnate. I need to challenge myself and change things up.”

Moe St. Cool from NL writes: “Staying current has always been very important to us
If by staying current you mean being the Nickelback of pop music that rips off every genre to try and manage a radio hit ... then you get an A+ Jacob.
“We don’t want to alienate people
Too late! You have alienated a lot of people already; they are known as people that like music that doesn't suck.
I need to challenge myself
That's fine Jacob buddy, you're 'challenged' enough already!

T S from St. Johns, NL writes: Rockon - you have got to be kidding me. Hedley might not be your cup of tea, but anyone who has turned on their radio in the last 2-3 years would at least know a couple of their songs.
Keep in mind that not all the concert acts brought in are going to please everyone, but Hedley is definitely a mainstream band and I hope tickets will sell well!
