Frank M from St. John's, NL writes: Well, what do you expect when the current Deputy Minister, Alastair O'Relly, was previously the executive director of the CCFI. No conflict of interest there.
The centre, and Mr. O'Reilly's bio when appointed Deputy Minister of Fisheries, boast about the industry support for the endeavour.
Must have dried up, I wonder why?

Bones II from nl writes: Canadian Centre for Fisheries Innovation (CCFI)? Doesn't that sound federal? Can we rename this the Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Fisheries Innovation (NLCFI) now? Would this upset Ottawa? lol
